At Willowsong Tairāwhiti Kindergarten, we offer a nurturing, rhythmical environment where tamariki can grow with confidence, creativity, and joy.
Rooted in the principles of Steiner education and guided by the New Zealand early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki, our kindergarten honours the natural unfolding of each child — supporting their development through rich, imaginative play and meaningful work.

Our days are shaped by a gentle, predictable rhythm that brings a sense of security and wellbeing to the children.
Through storytelling, song, seasonal celebrations, nature walks, handcrafts, and creative free play, tamariki engage all their senses and build strong foundations for lifelong learning.

We value small group sizes, allowing each child to be deeply known and supported in their own unique journey.
With loving guidance from our kaiako and strong partnership with whānau, Willowsong offers a true home for early childhood — a place where childhood is treasured, wonder is nurtured, and community is woven into every day.
Willowsong Kindergarten is open Monday -Thursday 8.30-3.30. 
Our maximum role is 25 tamariki 3, 4 & 5. years old. We have three beautiful teachers and our lovely kaiawhina who is also our playgroup facilitator.
