A nurturing home for children aged 3-5 years, where the pace of the day follows the rhythm of the seasons rather than the clock, and every small ritual becomes a quiet lesson in belonging.
our kindergarten
We value small group sizes, allowing each child to be deeply known, gently guided, and supported in their own unique unfolding. Play is never rushed here; imagination is given room to breathe, and the natural world becomes a teacher in its own right, through mud and leaves, wool and wood, sunlight and rain.
With loving guidance from our kaiako and a strong, trusted partnership with whānau, Willowsong offers a true home for early childhood — a place where childhood is treasured, wonder is nurtured, and community is woven into every day. Here, children aren’t hurried toward milestones; they’re given the freedom to simply be children, for as long as childhood lasts.
Where childhood is treasured, wonder is nurtured, and each child is gently supported to unfold in their own time.
Willowsong Kindergarten is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, offering a steady, familiar rhythm that children can settle into and rely on.
Our roll is intentionally small, with a maximum of 25 tamariki aged 3, 4, and 5 years old, so that every child feels truly seen and gently held within our care.
We’re cared for by five dedicated teachers and our lovely kaiawhina, who bring warmth, consistency, and genuine aroha to every day.
